● IP address, device type, browser, and pages visited — to fix bugs, improve the site, and understand what people are looking for
● Referral source (how you found us) — helps us know which marketing is working
When you contact us
● Your message, email, and any attachments — to respond to your query and keep a record of the conversation
You can browse our entire catalogue without telling us anything about yourself. We only need your details when you’re ready to buy or get in touch.

How your card stays safe
When you pay on Blaatan, your card details never touch our servers. Here is what actually happens:
● You enter your card details directly into Razorpay’s or Stripe’s secure, encrypted payment page — not ours
● Both are PCI-DSS Level 1 certified — the highest standard for payment security
● We only receive a confirmation: paid or failed, plus your order reference and masked card (last 4 digits only)
● We never see, receive, or store full card numbers, CVV codes, or card expiry dates
If you ever receive a message claiming to be from Blaatan asking for your card number, OTP, or UPI PIN — that is not us. Please report it to support@blaatan.com immediately.
05 / SHARING INFORMATION
Who we share your data with
We don’t sell or trade your data. The only people who see parts of your information are those helping fulfil your order:
● Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. Shopify provides an e-commerce platform that enables us to sell our products and services. Your data may be stored through Shopify's data storage, databases, and general Shopify applications.
● Shipping partners ( Shiprocket, Delhivery) — your name and delivery address only
● Payment gateways — only what’s needed to process your payment
● Email / SMS tools — to send order confirmations, shipping updates, and (if you opted in) occasional product news
● Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) — aggregated, anonymised usage data only, if you accepted marketing cookies
● Legal authorities — only if required by law, court order, or to protect our users’ safety
Every partner is contractually bound to keep your data confidential and use it only for the purpose we shared it.

How long we keep your data
● Account information: active period plus 3 years after closure
● Order and transaction records: 7 years, as required by Indian tax and accounting law
● Customer support conversations: 2 years, to help resolve any recurring issues
● Marketing opt-out records: indefinitely, so we never accidentally contact you again after you’ve unsubscribed When we no longer need your data, we delete or anonymise it. We don’t hold onto things just because we can.

Children’s privacy
Our store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has placed an order or created an account, email us at support@blaatan.com and we will remove the data promptly.

Delete your account
If you want to leave, we will make it easy. Email support@blaatan.com with the subject line “Delete my account” and include your registered name and email. We will process it within 30 days.
Some records (like transaction history) may be retained for up to 7 years as required by Indian tax law, but they will not be used for any other purpose.

We, at Blaatan [BlackStone], make all commercial and reasonable endeavours to ensure that Products are delivered to the Users in a timely manner. Users are required to peruse and understand the terms contained in this Shipping Policy.
● All products are shipped from our warehouse located in India to the respective shipping address(s) provided by the user/customer/purchaser. As we endeavor to deliver our products all across India, we partner with third party courier services providers viz. Shiprocket / Delhivery. (“Courier Partners”) to effectuate delivery. Details of delivery partners will be provided to the users upon the purchased product being handed over to the delivery partner by Blaatan.
● Users are to provide a complete street address along with their pin code details at the time of placing the purchase order.
● Our orders are processed on week days i.e. from Monday to Saturday, excluding national or declared holidays.
● Orders once confirmed cannot be edited/ modified/ or changed. However, we accept such requests for address change, made within 12 hours of placing the order or from order confirmation. For related concerns and queries, you may reach us at orders@blaatan.com
● You can expect to receive your order, on average, within 5 -7 business days of placing the order.
● Upon order confirmation, we provide the User a tracking number for the order via Email and WhatsApp. Your orders can be conveniently tracked through the Online Tracking Facility on our website under “Track Order” or on our WhatsApp number: +919900001544

RETURN & REFUND POLICY
OVERVIEW
You have 7 days from delivery to return any Blaatan jacket in its original, unworn condition. Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days of us receiving and inspecting the return.Exchanges for size are free — we cover return shipping for exchanges.
OUR PROMISE
Every Blaatan jacket is handcrafted with Aniline leather and inspected before it leaves our studio. We stand behind our work. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase — for any reason — we want to make it right.
We offer a 7-day return window and a 1-year manufacturing warranty. Our goal is for you to love your Blaatan jacket — and if something has gone wrong on our end, we will fix it without fuss.
This policy applies to all orders placed on blaatan.com and through our official WhatsApp ordering channel..
RETURN ELIGIBILITY
Return window
Return request initiated within 7 days of the delivery date as confirmed by the courier tracking system
Condition of item
Jacket must be unworn, unused, and unaltered. It must show no signs of wear, odours (perfume, smoke, sweat), stains, or damage caused after receipt
Original packaging
Must be returned in its original Blaatan packaging — dust bag, tissue wrap, branded box, and any care accessories included
Tags & labels
All original tags, care labels, and hang tags must be attached and unremoved
Proof of purchase
Your Blaatan order number (from your confirmation email) must be provided at the time of initiating the return
Care kit
The leather conditioning kit included with your order must be returned unused
To be eligible for a return, all of the following conditions must be met:We reserve the right to reject returns that do not meet these conditions. In such cases, the item will be returned to you at your cost.
The following cannot be returned or exchanged, except in the case of a manufacturing defect:
● Items that have been worn, washed, dry-cleaned, or altered in any way
● Items with removed or damaged tags
● Items returned after 7 days from the delivery date
Please note: Natural characteristics of aniline leather — including variations in grain pattern, minor marks, small wrinkles, or slight colour variations — are not defects. They are inherent to genuine leather and are part of what makes each Blaatan jacket unique.
HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN
Returns are processed through our online returns portal. Follow these steps:
Initiate online: Visit blaatan.com/returns and enter your order number and registered email address. Alternatively, email orders@blaatan.com with your order number and reason for return.
Select your item(s): Choose which item(s) from your order you wish to return and select a return reason from the dropdown menu.
Schedule a pickup: Our logistics partner will contact you within 2 business days to schedule a pickup from your delivery address. Pickups are available across 18,000+ pin codes in India.
Package your item: Pack the jacket securely in its original Blaatan box. Seal the package and ensure all tags are attached and the care kit is included.
Hand over to courier: Our logistics partner will provide a prepaid return shipping label. Affix it to the package and hand it over to the courier at the scheduled time.
Once your return request is approved, you will receive a confirmation email with a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number. Please include this number on the outside of your return package.
We do not accept returns sent via your own courier without prior approval. Self-arranged returns are at your own risk — BlackStone [Blaatan] will not be liable for items lost in transit if returned outside our approved return process.
INSPECTION & APPROVAL
Once your returned item reaches our quality inspection team in Bengaluru, we will inspect it within 2–3 business days. Our team checks for:
● Original condition (unworn, undamaged, unaltered)
● Presence of all original tags, labels, and packaging
● Inclusion of the leather conditioning care kit
● Any signs of wear, odour, or damage incurred after delivery
You will receive an email notification once your return has been inspected and either:
Approved: Your refund or exchange will be processed immediately.
Rejected: Your item will be returned to you within 5 business days. A rejection will include a written explanation. You may appeal within 7 days by writing to orders@blaatan.com.
Refund timelines above reflect the time from Blaatan's processing date. Actual credit to your account depends on your bank's processing time and may take an additional 2–5 business days beyond our stated timeline.
Refund amount: Your refund will equal the amount you paid for the returned item(s), less any applicable return shipping fee (₹199 for change-of-mind returns). Original outbound shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
Defective or Wrong Items
We take quality control seriously, but in the rare event that you receive a defective or incorrect item, we will resolve it at our cost — with no questions asked. What qualifies as a defect:
● Stitching that has come undone on arrival
● A zipper that does not function correctly on receipt
● Hardware that is broken or missing on arrival
● Leather that has significant tears, cuts, or discolouration not characteristic of the natural material
● Lining that is torn, unstitched, or incorrectly attached
● A jacket in a different size, colour, or product from what you ordered What to do:
Email orders@blaatan.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, a description of the defect, and clear photographs showing the issue.
Our quality team will review your claim within 2 business days and confirm whether the claim is approved. Approved defect claims receive a full refund or free replacement (your choice), with return pickup arranged at our cost.
WARRANTY & REPAIRS
Every Blaatan jacket comes with a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty covers:
● Stitching failures or seam separation under normal use
● Zipper mechanism failure (not cosmetic scratches)
● Hardware failure (buckles, snaps, D-rings breaking under normal use)
● Lining delamination or separation not caused by misuse
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
● Damage caused by accidents, negligence, or misuse
● Normal wear and tear (scratches, fading, patina development — these are natural for leather)
● Damage from exposure to water, harsh chemicals, solvents, or extreme heat
● Cosmetic damage (surface marks, colour transfer from other garments)
● Damage caused by improper care (machine washing, tumble drying)
● Alterations performed by anyone other than Blaatan
To make a warranty claim, email support@blaatan.com with your order number, date of purchase, a description of the defect, and photographs. Our team will assess the claim and provide a resolution within 10 business days.
Repair Service (Out of Warranty)
We offer a lifetime repair service for all Blaatan jackets — even after the warranty period. Repairs are charged at cost of materials and shipping cost, with no labour charge. Common repairs include re-stitching seams, replacing zippers, replacing buttons and re-conditioning dry leather. Email support@blaatan.com to arrange an assessment.
Cancellations
Before Dispatch: You may cancel your order for a full refund at any time before it has been dispatched from our studio. To cancel, email orders@blaatan.com with your order number and "CANCEL" in the subject line. Orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 business days of placement.
After Dispatch: Once your order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. You will need to wait for delivery and then initiate a return.
